NL’s 16th Premier Tony Wakeham announced a new cabinet yesterday during an official ceremony in the capital city yesterday. Wakeham says residents can look forward to real action from a new cabinet focused on delivering better healthcare, lower taxes and safer communities. Wakeham says the “team has the right combination of veteran experience and new energy to deliver a better, brighter future for all of us.” Meanwhile, Barry Petten is Deputy Premier and Transportation Minister, Craig Pardy is the Finance Minister, as well as Seniors, the Public Service Commission and the Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation. Lela Avans will lead Health, Mental Health and Addictions, Labrador Affairs, and Indigenous Relations.
