When the pool at Grenfell Campus announced it was closing in 2015, it set the wheels in motion to find a solution for the 40 year old facility. This led to a partnership between the city and the university. Fast forward to this weekend, and Corner Brook’s new Marina Redmond Centre will officially open at 10 a.m. tomorrow for a public tour. Mayor Jim Parsons says regular hours will begin on Sunday. He says this centre will serve the city for decades to come. There is also a fitness area with high end equipment, a gymnasium, multi purpose room, and a daycare.
