Qalipu First Nations Chief Jenny Brake is back from a trip to Rotterdam, Netherlands. Brake attended the World Hydrogen Summit 2024 from May 13th to the 15th. She says about 15,000 people from around the world attended the event, which gave her an opportunity to speak about Indigenous involvement in projects. Brake says NL and Canada had a large delegation at the event. She says so many developments over the years have gone beyond timelines, like Muskrat Falls. Brake says it’s hard to pick a side in wind hydrogen development, and she is pro-responsible progress. She says it’s important for everyone’s voice to be heard.
