Trick-or-Treaters should wear bright or reflective clothing, carry a flashlight or glow stick and use sidewalks and crosswalks.

It’s a day kids young and old have been waiting for, it’s finally Halloween and ghosts, goblins and witches everywhere are gearing up for another fun filled evening. The RNC is reminding everyone to keep safety part of that fun. Trick-or-Treaters should wear bright or reflective clothing, carry a flashlight or glow stick and use sidewalks and crosswalks. Travel in groups, only visit well-lit homes and check treats before eating them. Motorists need to slow down, watch for trick or treaters and avoid distractions. Homeowners should keep walkways clear, use LED candles or flashlights in jack-o’-lanterns, make sure pets are secured and only give out individually wrapped, store-bought candy.
