The province’s Seniors’ Advocate has launched a social media campaign to address ageism. Susan Walsh says while there isn’t any provincial data, the United Nations has found that one in two people hold an ageist attitude. She says nationally, 48 percent of people surveyed have experienced ageism and it exists in NL. The Seniors’ Month Social Media Campaign to address ageism in Newfoundland and Labrador involves seniors sharing their positive experiences and stories.  Walsh is inviting seniors to submit their stories to her office by emailing SeniorsAdvocate@SeniorsAdvocateNL.ca
