After wrestling to get it to the top of the water for about half an hour, Bill Best says they saw a big mean looking shark with a  lot of teeth but decided to leave it in the waters.

It’s a story that’s a lot like the movie Jaws but much scarier. Bill Best operates a quaint B and B in Cox’s Cove, called the Cove House. While home from Ontario for vacation, he joined long time friend George Delaney early Saturday morning  from his cabin in Brake’s Cove. They left on a dory to head out to an area known as Noseworthy’s Rock. Best says within minutes Delaney hooked something. After wrestling to get it to the top of the water for about half an hour, Best says they saw a big mean looking shark with a  lot of teeth but decided to leave it in the waters. He is not sure what type of shark it was but some say it looked like a porbeagle shark.
