Manager Christine Snow says it’s an opportunity to learn more about programs, especially the Social Enterprise through Acquisition (SETA) program which explores new ways of diversification and generating revenue.

The Social Innovation Lab is touring the west coast this week. It’s through the Community Sector Council NL and is a collective space where ideas flourish and positive change takes root through innovative solutions. They’ll be making stops in Deer Lake, Corner Brook, Stephenville, Codroy Valley and Port aux Basques. Manager Christine Snow says it’s an opportunity to learn more about programs, especially the Social Enterprise through Acquisition (SETA) program which explores new ways of diversification and generating revenue. Snow says another challenge in this province is what’s known as a “succession tsunami,” when small business owners are looking to retire and sell the business. The group will present the SETA project at Navigate Small Business’s Succession Planning for Small Business event on Thursday morning from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
