A state of emergency and water conservation order remains in effect in Hughes Brook. An advisory was first issued on September 22nd asking residents to conserve water in light of low levels at the dam. A few days later, council declared the state of emergency, which has been in effect for nearly two weeks. Water levels have dropped significantly over the last few days and residents are reminded of the legal obligations to conserve water.
