The Mill Whistler is gearing up to return to the streets of Corner Brook once school is out for summer. The popular little train is ready to be put back into service. At this week’s public meeting, Deputy Mayor Linda Chaisson asked about the status of a new train for the city. Mayor Jim Parsons says they couldn’t find a new one but are looking at other options, like an electric train. The city’s Director of Engineering, Donny Burden says they do have a lot of spare parts on hand. The current Mill Whistler has been operational since 2019.
