The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is now recruiting candidates for its January 2026 Cadet Training Program.

Post-secondary requirements have also been removed from application qualifications for those with other life experiences. The process includes written, oral, and physical components.  Successful candidates complete a 36-week training program at the Atlantic Police Academy (APA) in Prince Edward Island.  Last year, 13 recruit constables were sworn in as members of the RNC, in addition to eight experienced officers.
