The Salvation Army Kettle Campaign will finish up at 7 o’clock tomorrow night.
The Salvation Army Kettle Campaign is getting close to their fundraising goal but they need people to dig a little deeper. So far, they’ve raised $90,000 of a $100,000 goal. Major Barry Wheeler says the kettle campaign started in the United States but was first in this province 100 years ago, which was also a first in Canada. He says this is a special year and they’re celebrating a 100th anniversary in this area.
The Salvation Army Kettle Campaign will finish up at 7 o’clock tomorrow night. Major Wheeler says this money will help a lot of people in the area. He says about 1300 individuals will get Christmas assistance with food and about 400 children will get toys. The Salvation Army kettles can be found at the Plaza, Walmart, Canadian Tire, Dominion, Sobeys and Coleman’s on O’Connell Drive.
