25 percent of about 500 clients have been hired through Trades NL
Politicians, Indigenous representatives and invited guests were on hand today for the opening of a new Trades NL Office for Indigenous and Northern Skilled Trades in Corner Brook. Trades NL Director Darin King says they already have 50 clients in Corner Brook ready to learn a trade. He says this province leads the country with the number of women in trades. Trades NL currently has 550 clients on the list, and 50 of those are from the Corner Brook area. Skills Minister Gerry Byrne says the trades have a deep root in this province. He announced over $910 thousand to include the expansion of the Office for Indigenous and Northern Skilled Trades to Corner Brook
