The city of Corner Brook has been investing heavily into transit and looking at ways to improve transportation. Recently, the city doubled capacity by adding new buses and starting tomorrow, will be giving free bus passes to about 2,000 eligible residents.  Aaron O’Brien is the assistant Director of Engineering. He says a transit study is underway to determine ways to make the service more accessible. O’Brien says the city has formed an accessibility committee and have been speaking with various stakeholders who would use the service. The city also  introduced what’s called a “M” Card which O’Brien says is reloadable. In the past, residents would purchase a ride pass or a punch card, and if it was lost there was no way to be reimbursed.
