SK Ecoplant is a leading company in wind power generation

World Energy GH2 has signed an agreement with SK Ecoplant out of South Korea, and it’s a first for Canada. One of the world’s largest sustainable infrastructure companies, SK Ecoplant will pump 50 million dollars, US, in the project, acquiring a 20 percent stake in the first phase. This deal is the South Korean company’s first overseas investment in a green hydrogen project. It’s also a clear indicator Newfoundland Labrador is rapidly taking centre stage in the clean energy industry. World Energy GH2 chair, John Risley says, "Just nine months after the signing of the Canada – Germany Hydrogen Alliance by Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau and German Chancellor Scholz in Stephenville, trade and export discussions continue to advance between Canada and Germany.”  SK Ecoplant has established itself as a leading company in wind power generation, evidenced by its ongoing development of a 2.6 GW offshore wind power project.
