It was a weekend of power uncertainty in NL as crews including divers worked to manually remove ice buildup at the Bay d’Espoir Hydro facility.

The fire on Payne’s Path was quickly contained and extinguished.

Shortly after 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, police got a report that a man was threatening others with a firearm.

An arrest warrant was issued January 6th for Terrance Samuel Benoit, wanted on a charge of being unlawfully at large after failing to sign in at the West Coast Correctional Centre.

Town officials have contacted the Emergency Services Division for guidance on how to proceed.

NL Hydro is back into normal operations and no customer action or alerts are required at this time.
