It happened a month ago and is a RNC matter now.

The City of Corner Brook is reminding dog owners to keep their pets on a leash. This after someone was bitten by a dog a month ago.

Todd Flynn is the city’s Director of Protective Services, which also includes Municipal Enforcement. He says the dog bite is a RNC matter now, but the dog is in custody waiting to hear from the court. Flynn says this time of year, people are out walking more with their dogs and may feel it’s okay to let them loose. He says they’re getting a lot of complaints. He says anyone caught not keeping their dog on a leash will have to pay a fine, and your dog could be taken. Flynn says dog owners are also reminded to always pick up after their pets.

Meanwhile, the RNC could not be reached for comment.
