The Minister responsible for Francophone Affairs, Sarah Stoodley, virtually attended the Ministers’ Council on the Canadian Francophonie earlier this month. The meetings were held in Vancouver. Minister Stoodley says it was a great opportunity to talk about challenges and how to lobby the Federal government for more support. She says there are not enough fluent french speaking people to fill jobs. Minister Stoodley says it all trickles down to the fact there is not enough support for French education. She says they also talked about french online government services, for example, getting a Birth Certificate in french.
