Government is investing over $132,000 into non-repayable grants to help increase food self-sufficiency, access to fresh foods, consumption of fruits and vegetables, and awareness and appreciation of the importance of local food production and the agriculture sector.
Applications for the 2024 Community Garden Support Program are available to help eligible municipalities, schools and community groups establish and enhance new and existing community gardens. There is no deadline to apply, but applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
